Master of Science in Security Informatics program students Jennifer Li and Kalyani Pawar joined over 45,000 attendees at the RSA conference held in San Francisco, CA from March 4-8, 2019. The IT security conference gathers cybersecurity industry experts from around the country and abroad to present research and share best practices.

“Going to the RSA Conference representing the Johns Hopkins University Information Security Institute was an exhilarating experience. Not only did I meet distinguished men and women from all sorts of backgrounds, industries, and levels of experience, but I also got the opportunity to discuss my intellectual and professional interests with many like-minded people,” said Li who is also a RSA Security Scholar.

“I gained new perspectives and explored how different entities in government, academia, and the corporate world can collaborate to develop new cybersecurity policies and technologies. Returning from the RSA Conference, I now have new ideas and am looking forward to continuing on in my Security Informatics-related coursework at JHU,” said Li.
